La giornalista di al-Jazeera Shireen Abu Akleh "è stata uccisa da un soldato dell’Occupazione mentre stava tentando di fuggire assieme ad altri giornalisti" durante gli scontri a Jenin (Cisgiordania) dell’11 maggio scorso. Lo ha detto il Procuratore generale dell’Autorità nazionale palestinese Akhram al-Khatib, citato dalla agenzia di stampa Maan. «Il proiettile che ha ucciso la giornalista - ha proseguito, illustrando i risultati dell’indagine - conteneva un frammento di acciaio che ha perforato la sua protezione». Secondo il procuratore la giornalista è stata colpita alla testa.
