Addio a Charles «Chuck» Yeager, il pilota americano che ha rotto la barriera del suono nel 1947, con un aereo-razzo Bell XS-1. Aveva 97 anni. La sua morte è stata annunciata sul suo account Twitter dalla moglie Vittoria. «Con profondo dolore - scrive - devo dirvi che l’amore della mia vita, il generale Chuck Yeager si è spento poco prima dell 21. Un’incredibile vita vissuta bene, il più grande pilota d’America ed una eredità di forza, avventura e patriottismo, saranno ricordati per sempre».
