Olympics: Jaked issue threat in swim-caps row

(ANSA) - Rome, August 1 - A row over Olympic swimming caps
between Italian supplier Jaked and the international swimming
federation, FINA, reached a climax Wednesday.
Jaked, the company that provides the costumes and caps for
the Italian swim team, took out a full-page ad in Italian
newspapers to protest a ban on its caps because they do not
feature on a FINA list of approved ones
"FINA had all the documentation showing that we have met all
the requirements," said Gianluigi Cimmino, the chief executive
of Jaked.
The company said it is considering terminating its
sponsorship agreement with Italy.
He added that he travelled to London on Tuesday, hoping for
an explanation of the ban, but got none.
