Regions submit cuts proposal after Lazio scandal


(ANSA) - Rome, September 27 - The governors of Italy's
regions on Thursday submitted a list of proposed cuts that the
government should impose in response to a string of scandals.
The proposals include lowering salaries for regional
councilors, assessors and governors.
They also proposed reducing the number of regional
councilors and cutting spending for special groups and
