Emilia-Romagna regional offices raided by finance police


(ANSA) - Bologna, October 2 - Italian finance police raided
Emilia-Romagna regional offices on Tuesday, in a search for
evidence for probes opened last Friday by Bologna prosecutors
into the region's handling of public funds.
The prosecutors, who cite no specific wrongdoing, are
already investigating Paolo Nanni, the Bologna provincial leader
of the anti-corruption party Italy of Values (IdV), for
allegedly mishandling party money.
The inquiry was announced shortly after police searched
party offices at the Piedmont regional administration on Friday
in a preliminary inquiry into suspected over-spending by various
