Soccer: Lazio's Sculli banned over trouble-hit Genoa match

(ANSA) - Rome, October 9 - Lazio forward Giuseppe Sculli was
banned for a month by an Italian Soccer Federation (FIGC)
tribunal on Tuesday for events related to a trouble-hit match
with his former side Genoa last season.
Sculli negotiated with the fans who raised the havoc that
led to a 45-minute suspension of Genoa's 4-1 loss to Siena in
The match became infamous because Genoa players gave in to
demands from hardcore 'ultra' supporters for them to take off
their shirts, the logic being they were not worthy of them given
the way they were playing.
The FIGC tribunal said Sculli had frequented the
trouble-making fans and had passed on intimidatory messages from
them to the rest of his former team.
Genoa were fined 30,000 euros.
