Obama enlists Marchionne in anti-Romney campaign

Washington, November 2 - Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio
Marchionne has lent his image to a video produced by the
campaign staff of incumbent US President Barack Obama to
question the moral integrity of his Republican rival Mitt Romney
in the run-up to presidential elections on November 6 by
suggesting he is dishonest.
'Romney Style: How to Destroy Your Campaign's Credibility
in Five Easy Steps' uses a photograph of the Italian manager and
excerpts from an email message he sent to Chrysler employees to
deny multiple claims by Romney that the company planned to move
some of the production of its popular Jeep brand from Ohio to
China.
''Jeep production will not be moved from the United States
to China,'' wrote Marchionne in the email.
''It is inaccurate to suggest anything different''.
The claims aimed to discredit measures taken by the Obama
administration to rescue the struggling American auto industry
and included reference to Chrysler as a company ''sold to the
Italians''.
