Soccer: Pato has 'promised' to come back to Milan

Rome, January 3 - Unsettled, injury-dogged
Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato has promised to return to AC
Milan after an expected move back to his Brazilian homeland with
Sao Paulo club Corinthians, Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi said
Milan CEO Adriano Galliani is in Brazil for talks on the
deal with the Club World Cup winners.
Pato wants to move after playing only four times for Milan
this season.
The 23-year-old has been plagued by a series of leg-muscle
injuries over the last three years.
"Unfortunately Pato said he wants to return to Brazil for
a year or two, but he's promised to come back to Milan
afterwards," Berlusconi said of the player, who is dating his
younger daughter Barbara.
"We are trying to place him with the top team in South
America, Corinthians, and it doesn't seem a bad solution".
Pato joined Milan from Internacional for 20 million euros
in 2007. Milan turned down a bid reportedly in the region of 40
million euros for the player a year ago from Paris St. Germain.
They are expected to receive between 12 and 15 million
euros from Corinthians for him.
Talks on a move that would see Pato's compatriot Robinho
return to Brazil with Santos have apparently stalled and the
forward is back in training with Milan after Serie A's Christmas
