Soccer: Pato moves to Corinthians

Rome, January 4 - AC Milan's unsettled,
injury-dogged Brazil striker Alexandre Pato has agreed a move
back to his homeland with Sao Paulo club Corinthians.
Pato, 23, signed a 15-million-euro, four-year deal, saying
he wanted to "get more regular playing time".
Milan CEO Adriano Galliani finalised the deal with the Club
World Cup winners Thursday night.
Pato decided to move after playing only four times for
Milan this season.
He has been plagued by a series of leg-muscle
injuries over the last three years.
Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi, a media magnate and
three-time Italian premier who is standing again in the February
24-25 general election, was optimistic his club had not seen the
last of the striker, who is dating his younger daughter Barbara,
a Milan director.
"Unfortunately Pato said he wants to return to Brazil for
a year or two, but he's promised to come back to Milan
afterwards," Berlusconi said Thursday.
Pato joined Milan from Internacional for 20 million euros
in 2007. Milan turned down a bid reportedly in the region of 40
million euros for the player a year ago from Paris St. Germain.
Talks on a move that would see Pato's compatriot Robinho
return to Brazil with Santos have apparently stalled and the
forward is back in training with Milan after Serie A's Christmas
