F1: Ferrari happy with Massa, not dreaming of Vettel

Madonna di Campiglio, January 16 - Ferrari on
Wednesday again played down speculation they want to pair
Fernando Alonso with Red Bull's German world champion Sebastian
Vettel and create a driver "dream team".
Team principal Stefano Domenicali said the Italian outfit
were happy with Brazilian Felipe Massa, who ended a long period
of poor form with some strong showings in the second half of
last season.
"We and (Ferrari President Luca di) Montezemolo have always
said that a dream team is a wonderful thing if managed well and
things work," Domenicali told reporters.
"At the moment it's not our aim. We have to have the
maximum balance within the team and be very careful".
In October Montezemolo dismissed reports Vettel, the winner
of the last three F1 crowns, would join Ferrari to partner
two-time world champion Alonso in 2014, saying that he "didn't
want to have two roosters in the same henhouse".
Domenicali said he was confident Massa, who has been with
Ferrari since 2006, would carry his good form from 2012 into the
new year.
"Felipe Massa was excellent in the second half of last
season," the team principal said.
"He's the driver we want. They've been saying that it
would be Felipe's last year for a few years now, but he's one of
the drivers who's been with us the longest.
"I'm certain that he'll provide the performances that we
and he want. I don't see any problem".
