European markets little changed despite china data


Milan, January 18 - Markets were little changed
across Europe on Friday, with Milan's FTSE MIB index dropping
Data released on Friday on the Chinese economy showed gross
domestic product advanced 7.9% in the last four months of 2012
from the year-earlier period, the National Bureau of Statistics
said in Beijing.
Italy's Ftse MIB index fell 0.2% to 17,554 points.
The yield spread between 10-year Italian bonds and the
German benchmark bund, a barometer of Italy's borrowing costs in
the eurozone crisis, closed at 261 points with 10-year yields at
The Frankfurt Dax bourse fell 0.4% at 7,702 points, while
the Paris Cac 40 Index fell 0.1% to 3,741 points.
Madrid's Ibex index closed down 0.3 % to 8,604 points.
London's FTSE-100 stock market advanced 0.4% to 6,154
