Inter fans chant insults at Balotelli during 1-1 derby

Milan, February 25 - AC Milan coach Massimiliano
Allegri praised striker Mario Balotelli's restraint when faced
by racist chants during Sunday's Inter-Milan derby that ended in
a 1-1 draw.
"Balotelli did well not to react to provocation. I'm just
sorry he failed to score," Allegri said.
Inter fans shouting insults and racist chants at Balotelli
waved nasty banners and even inflatable bananas.
Former Inter Milan and Manchester City forward has
repeatedly been subjected to racist taunts playing in and
outside Italy.
The Milan derby has not ended in a draw since October 2004.
Milan striker Stephan el Shaarawy scored the first goal of
the game.
Inter's Ezequiel Schelotto hit back with the second, and
was moved to tears celebrating with his teammates.
Tensions were high with Balotelli in the Milan jersey
facing angry Inter fans and the rival team's formidable defense.
"Let's not forget that he is 22 years old and was playing
against his former team," Allegri said.
