Grillo to attend consultations after election surge


Genoa, February 26 - Genoa comic and leader of the
anti-establishment Five Star Movement (M5S) Beppe Grillo said
Tuesday he would attend scheduled political consultations with
President Giorgio Napolitano for the formation of a new
government after his party made huge gains in recent general
Asked what he would say to the head of state, the gadfly
comedian said he would have to see, adding ''these are people
who are part of history''.
Grillo also denied that he was now waiting for everything
to fall apart as a result of the elections, which made M5S the
single largest party in Italy and denied Pier Luigi Bersani's
centre-left coalition - seen as the frontrunner in pre-election
polls - a working majority in both houses of parliament.
