lost his temper with political opponent Beppe Grillo Wednesday,
suggesting the former comedian wrongly sees himself as Italy's
only hope for salvation.
"Congratulations to the saviours of the country," mocked
the centre-left coalition leader shortly after he was slammed by

Grillo, leader of the anti-establishment 5-Star Movement
(M5S) which captured an unexpectedly big protest vote in last
month's general election, has refused Bersani's requests that
they work together to form a new government.
The populist M5S potentially holds the balance of power in
parliament after the elections left no political party or
coalition with a clear majority in both houses.
Grillo rejected Bersani by saying that he, along with
ex-premier Silvio Berlusconi and outgoing Premier Mario Monti,
