Enel, Eni cooperating on future of electric vehicles

Rome, March 27 - Two of Italy's largest energy
companies say they are teaming up on development of better
charging stations for electric cars.
Eni and Enel say they foresee a time when a motorist can
pull into an Eni service station and recharge, using electricity
provided by Enel.
On Wednesday the two signed a letter of intent to
collaborate on a range of issues: strategic, technological,
logistical and commercial.
Within six months, the plan is to have charging stations
available in the northern Italian regions of Veneto and
Motorists can plan to spend about 30 minutes recharging
their electric vehicle while saving as much as 50% on the fuel
bill, the companies said.
