Financial investments in Italy drop 36% in past 2½ years

(ANSA) – Milan, March 28 – Financial investments in Italy
dropped 36% to 1,269.9 billion euros in the past two and a half
years as a result of the economic crisis and waning confidence
levels in the euro zone's third largest economy, according to a
report released by Italian stock market watchdog Consob.
Meanwhile investments in Italian stocks, bonds, government
debt and other securities in the period from the start of 2010
to September 2012 dropped 715 billion euros.
