Two Casalesi bosses sentenced to life for 2008 homicides

(ANSA) – Naples, April 19 – Two bosses from the powerful
Casalesi clan in the southern Italian region of Campania were
handed down life sentences by a Naples court on Friday for the
homicide of two men.
Giuseppe Setola and Giovanni Letizia were sentenced to life
for the 2008 homicide of a trucking company owner, Antonio
Ciardullo, and his employee Ernesto Fabozzi.
The two men were killed in San Marcellino, in Caserta, on
September 12 2008.
Police informant Giuseppe Guerra, who led authorities to
investigate the motivation behind the killing, was sentenced to
a 13-year jail term.
The Casalesi clan became well known internationally after
its death threats forced anti-mafia writer Roberto Saviano into
24-hour police protection.
