Chinese businessman to launch reality show for Italians


Nanning (China) April 25 - A young Chinese
businessman thinks he has got a great business idea to promote
better relations between the two countries: a reality television
The show "Top Model on the Road" features Chinese fashion
models from Steven Luo's agency and will, he says, give Italian
viewers the chance to "discover" Chinese girls.
The show's subjects are drawn from the Beijing Loren
International Modelling Agency (named, of course, for Italian
movie star Sophia Loren) which Luo founded in 2010.
His agency was "the first in Italy to organize events with
Chinese models", says Luo, 30, who organized the Loren Chinese
Top Model Contest.
Now, he says he has a television in partner in the rapidly
modernizing region of Guangxi in southern China.
That gives him a viewing population of as many as 800
million and platform to sell the show in Italy.
