PdL 'satisfied' after 'constructive' Letta talks

Rome, April 25 - Silvio Berlusconi's centre-right
People of Freedom (PdL) Party said Thursday it was "satisfied"
after talks with centre-left Democratic Party (PD) deputy head
Enrico Letta, tasked by newly re-elected President Giorgio
Napolitano to form a coalition government after a two-month
post-election stalemate.
PdL Secretary Angelo Alfano said the talks were "conducted
in a constructive spirit".
Many in the PD have given grudging assent to a deal with
old foe Berlusconi.
Napolitano has warned parties to put aside their
differences and form a government to tackle the economic crisis
and pass much-needed reforms, threatening to quit if they don't.
