Suspects nabbed in 'military-like' acid attack on Turin bar

Turin, May 20 - Police on Monday arrested seven
armed men accused of carrying out a military-like assault on a
bar and attempting to burn the owner with acid in retaliation
for an old drug deal gone bad.
"This was a military-like act, planned and organize to the
smallest detail," said Turin prosecutor Paolo Borgna
Police said the suspects, described as Moroccan nationals,
were carrying guns, knives and muriatic acid when they stormed
into a bar in Turin in February in search of the owner, who
escaped through a window.
His two nephews and several clients were injured by
splashes of acid, police said.
Seven additional suspects are still at large.
The alleged mastermind of the assault, 38-year-old Jlali
Hajbi, was in custody.
