Berlusconi 'bunga bunga' girl accused of blackmailing VIPs

Milan, June 21 - Imane Fadil, a Moroccan model said
to have participated in the alleged bunga-bunga sex parties
hosted by ex-premier Silvio Berlusconi, was accused Friday of
blackmailing bigwigs.
According to Pawel Giowine, a 35-year-old Polish national,
Fadil was among a group of young women recruited to "fool VIPs
in order to blackmail them later".
Giowine told Rome prosecutors that Fadil specifically
"targeted politicians" and that she spoke of one instance of
"photo blackmail" related to Fabio Cannavaro, a former soccer
star and captain of Italy's 2006 World Cup-winning side.
Exactly who allegedly recruited Fadil and others for the
suspected setups was not made known.
Fadil is currently seeking two million euros in a suit
against three defendants on trial for charges of procuring
prostitutes for Berlusconi's alleged sex parties.
The defendants are bankrupt ex-talent scout Lele Mora,
ex-Lombardi regional councillor and the ex-premier's former
dental hygienist Nicole Minetti, and TV anchorman Emilio Fede.
Fede's defense team brought up the accusations against
Fadil in a hearing Friday.
In that case Fadil is listed as an injured party for
attending the parties.
Her lawyers say she suffered "grave embarrassment and
shame" by being labelled "a bunga-bunga girl" which ruined her
ambitions to work in television.
They also say the three defendants forced Fadil to take
part in Berlusconi's parties and have sex with the billionaire
media tycoon by taking advantage of her dire financial
A verdict in that case is expected July 12.
In the related trial against Berlusconi for allegedly
paying for sex with Karima 'Ruby' El Marough, who was an
underage exotic dancer at the time, a verdict is expected
