Yield on Italian zero-coupon bonds highest since Sept 2012

Rome, June 25 - The Italian treasury on Tuesday
allocated its entire 3.5-billion-euro 24-month zero-coupon bond
(CTZ) issue, but at the highest yields since September 2012.
Tuesday's bids saw CTZ yields climb to 2.403%, up from
1.113% at the last issue in May.
In the wake of the CTZ auction, the spread between Italian
and German 10-year bond interest rates broke the 300-basis-point
threshold again on Tuesday, reaching 302.
The yield on Italian paper was 4.78%.
The spread between Spanish 10-year bonds and the German
benchmark was 325 basis points.
The yield on the Spanish bonos rose to 5%.
