Illegal entry trial that includes Grillo to stay in Turin

Turin, June 28 - A request to move a Turin trial
of some 20 activists, including 5-Star Movement leader Beppe
Grillo, indicted for allegedly entering and off-limits building
was rejected by judges Friday.
Alberto Perino, who heads the NO-TAV movement protesting
the plan to build a high-speed train network linking Italy with
France, is also among those indicted for reportedly removing
locks placed on an illegal building site in Chiomonte near Turin
by authorities.
Judge Elena Rocci rejected the transfer request to Susa
made by the defendant's lawyers, saying it was ''late and
unfounded in terms of merit''.
The trial is set to start in September, with the first
witnesses presented by prosecutor Giuseppe Ferrando.
