Soccer: PSG may be 'days away' from signing Napoli's Cavani

Rome, July 5 - Napoli's Uruguay striker Edinson
Cavani may be just days away from moving to Paris Saint-Germain
(PSG) in one of soccer's most expensive transfers of all time,
according to Italian media reports.
The rich French club are reportedly willing to pay the
63-million-euros release clause in the striker's contract with
Napoli in order to beat competition from some of Europe's top
clubs and obtain his services.
London side Chelsea had also targeted the 26-year-old, who
is nicknamed the 'matador', but gave up after failing to get
Napoli to agree to a fee below the get-out clause.
Spanish giants Real Madrid, however, are reportedly still
in the hunt for him.
According to the reports, PSG Sporting Director drew up the
draft of an agreement in talks with Napoli this week.
Now the French club must reach an agreement for personal
terms with the player, with the media saying he could earn
around 10 million euros a year.
Cavani has scored 104 goals for Napoli since joining them
from Palermo in 2010.
