Premier Letta says Britain must work with EU

London, July 17 - Italian Premier Enrico Letta said
Wednesday he wanted to send "a strong message" in bilateral
talks with his British counterpart David Cameron in London,
urging him to work with the European Union.
"I am here to say that it is in the interest of Italy and
the EU that the United Kingdom join and work with the European
Union because without the United Kingdom it would be less
liberal, less innovative," Letta told a press conference.
"It is very important to work together".
Cameron has said he will renegotiate Britain's relationship
with Brussels if he wins a general election in 2015 and then
hold a referendum on the issue.
