Soccer: Six-point match-fixing penalty requested for Lazio

Rome, July 24 - An Italian Soccer Federation (FIGC)
prosecutor on Wednesday asked a disciplinary committee to give
Serie A side Lazio a six-point penalty for alleged match-fixing
and ban captain Stefano Mauri for four years, six months.
The request regards alleged attempts to fix two Serie A
matches, Lazio v Genoa on May 14 2011 and Lecce v Lazio on May
22 that year.
Prosecutor Stefano Palazzi requested Serie A side Genoa and
Lecce, who are now in the third tier of Italian soccer, be
deducted three points each.
He wants former Genoa player Omar Milanetto banned for
three years, six months.
