Napoli owner wants 100 mn euros from Capri for Higuain slip

Naples, August 27 - The mayor of Capri reacted with
outrage Tuesday after the owner of Napoli soccer club said he
would seek 100 million euros in damages after a star player cut
his face in an accident there.
Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain slipped on a rock on the
resort island of Capri and split his face open Monday.
The new Argentina signing from Real Madrid had to have two
stitches to his cheek and eight to his jaw and missed practice
Mayor Ciro Lembo dismissed Aurelio De Laurentiis's demands
as "rash" adding that celebrities, billionaires, and media stars
all happily holiday on Capri and Higuain was treated by proper
medical authorities.
"(Higuain) was treated with great speed and
professionalism," said the mayor.
Earlier, De Laurentiis said that when he saw the photos of
Higuain's injuries, he contacted his lawyers and told them to
begin working on the case, adding the any damages awarded will
be given to charity.
The soccer club owner said that he wanted to teach
politicians a lesson about the importance of good health care.
